What kind of fluid does it use?
Fill with standard lighter fluid (Zippo brand or generic). Not butane!
How do I refill it?
- Open the lid and lift the small metal lever next to the hinge, unlocking the insert. Then, pull the lighter insert out of the metal case.
- Turn the insert upside-down and gently lift the felt pad to reveal the cotton chamber. Slowly add lighter fluid (not butane) in small increments until saturated. Don’t overfill!
- Insert the lighter back into the case, then press the lever back down into place. Wipe away any excess fluid from the lighter and your hands, and wait a minute before lighting.
How long does a full fill last?
That depends on how often you use it, but it can last about 2-3 weeks or more with regular use (a few lights per day).
Does it come with lighter fluid?
No, lighter fluid isn't included, but you can get it at your local hardware store, convenience store, gas station, grocery store, smoke shop, or online for a few dollars.
Can I bring it on a plane?
Only in your carry-on if it's full and only in your checked luggage if it’s completely empty, but always check your airline’s policies before flying.
Is this really better than Bic?
